Two Ton Tour

A proper cycling weekend

       2021 Cancellation

This is a message we thought we would not be sending out this year. We have been monitoring the changing outlook of restrictions not only in England but more importantly in Wales.

Unfortunately, due to the restrictions that currently exist, and the amount we anticipate them to be relaxed by early July, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Two Ton Tour. Wales is currently at their Alert Level 2 which only permits a maximum number of 50 people to enter as part of an organised sports activity.

Our best-case view at present is that Wales will have moved to Alert Level 1 by the time of the event weekend. Sadly, this still only permits a maximum of 100 people outdoors and 50

The 2-day nature of the event also means there are significant implications in terms of the accommodation, household mixing and social distancing. We understand that this news will be a disappointment to you, as it is to us. We have delayed the
final decision for as long as we feel we possibly could, but we are now at a point in time where we start committing to bookings and other areas of the event logistics, and with that the costs
associated with them. We also want to give you as much notice as possible.

In terms of your entry fee, we have decided that for this year we will wipe the slate clean and start from scratch next time, we therefore will not be deferring any entries. We will provide you with a full refund (less the £2 admin fee that gets deducted) which we shall process over the next week or so. If the card used to pay for your entry has expired, then we should get notification when we do this and will be in touch to arrange an alternative.

Thanks for all your on-going support and your enthusiasm for the Two Ton Tour. Let us keep everything crossed and we hope that we can return for 2022!
